Top charts music artist Jessie J proves to have a heart of gold and a pretty brave personality. The young singer was courageous enough to shave her statement locks on live television and she did it for a great cause. By deciding to go bald during the live show of Comic Relief fundraiser, Jessie J helped raise over 500,000£ for the charity organization Body & Soul.

 

“ I’m enjoying the statement of it – It’s doing good for the right people” – She said during the Glamour 2013 Awards.

 

Jessie J is not the first celebrity to go bald in support of charity; however, she is definitely one of the few who stuck with the look. The 25 year old claimed, during an interview with Glamour, that “there's no point in shaving your head for charity if you're then going to just grow it back the next day.” And she didn’t stop there; the talented musician appeared bald on the cover of her latest album as well as many of her video clips and also worked the bald look on the set of The Voice UK where she was a judge.

 

The gorgeous Jessie definitely proved that being bald should not stand in the way of looking and feeling beautiful. She put herself out in the media and set the example for women of all ages – bald or not – and made it clear that it was okay to be bald and that bald is, in fact, beautiful.
