BARE BEAUTY
Be Bald is an online exhibition that aims to promote bare beauty. Bald women around the world should feel beautiful at all times, whether they are bald by choice or not. This exhibition displays portraits of bald women under the categories of ‘For You’ ‘For Me’ or ‘For It’. Hence, these beautiful women are represented as beautiful individuals, flourishing the bald beauty they reveal. Some women battle illnesses and diseases that result in baldness. Other women choose to be bald to support an important cause. Finally, some women choose to be bald by choice. Individuals tend to think baldness is directly related to being ill, and her hair identifies a sense of beauty. Be Bald challenges this stereotypical way of thinking and raises awareness to give bald women the courage to be confident and brandish their beauty. Irrespective of the reason behind baldness, women should not establish a link between hair and beauty but rather celebrate the beauty of women in all forms.
